Frequently asked questions

How long should my hair be before coming in for a wax/sugar?

At least two weeks of hair growth from your last shave or 3-4 weeks from your last wax/sugar.

How long do I have to wait in between Brazilian/Bikini appointments?

At the very least three weeks but for best results four or five weeks. It is recommended to not exceed six weeks.

Does waxing/sugaring hurt?

Unfortunately, hair removal is not painless as it does extract the hair from the root; however, it is such a quick and precise process it is over before you know it and the result is well worth the few moments of discomfort! The first time is the most uncomfortable, but it gets less painful each time as long as you return within a 4-6 week time frame. That way the follicle has a loose grip on the hair, allowing it to slip out easier and less hair grows back each time!

Will I get in-grown hairs from waxing/sugaring?

Any time you take the hair out by the root you run the risk of getting an in-grown hair. It is less common with sugar because the hair is removed in its natural growth pattern. You want to keep the area mildly exfoliated (too much pressure and over exfoliating may cause more in-grown hairs). There are different products that your technician can recommend to assist in treating the in-grown hair.

Can I shave in between waxing/sugaring sessions?

You can, however it is not recommended as it is starting all over again pain wise and wait time for your next appointment. We strongly urge you to trust the process and do not be tempted to shave!

What type of wax do you use?

We use premium hard wax Starsoft by Starpil as well as a pure honey soft wax (see service list for details).

How do I care for my freshly waxed/sugared skin?

Please avoid touching the area as well as any bodies of water

(showers are fine). Only apply products recommended by your technician.

My child is a pre-teen/teenager can I bring them in to be waxed/sugared?

Of course! We do services such as partial to full brow waxes, lip waxes, underarms and bikini lines (females only) whether you have a tiny dancer, a swimmer or volley ball player we can tailor any service to fit the needs of your child!

How long will my airbrush tan last?

Anywhere from 7-10 days depending on how well you exfoliated prior to your appointment and how moisturized you keep your skin. The more hydrated your skin is the better your tan looks and the longer it lasts!

Will spray tanning turn me orange?

Absolutely not! We use an ultra high-quality solution; no matter how dark you go you will never be orange.
